CHAOS Radio Season 4 Episode 7

Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we join Anneliese Warburton and Katie Mutton to mark World Mental Health Day and look ahead to ‘For Cornwall, By Cornwall’ - a unique event at Falmouth’s Maritime Museum taking place this week.

We check in with Cllr James Mustoe to hear learn about the St Austell Tidy Up Team - how the group began, how it’s grown, and why their volunteer-led litter picks are making a real difference.

As well as that, we take a trip to Mevagissey Rowing Club, who recently hosted its first-ever family activity day, inviting locals of all ages to get involved in rowing and community fun.

We hear from the team at the newly-launched Chi Austel, taking a closer look at how the welcoming space in White River Place is bringing essential services together under one roof to better support the local community…

…and we welcome Helen Wilson-Prowse from YMCA Cornwall, who discusses a special fundraising concert at St Just Town Hall this Friday, featuring top Cornish musicians Will Keating, John Dowling, and Ben Sutcliffe, in support of their work with young people aged 16 to 24 at risk of homelessness in the Duchy.
