NEWSWAVE - Town Halls and Table Manners

Season 3 Episode 27

Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we join St Austell’s new Mayor, Councillor Colin Hamilton - sworn in following a Mayor Making ceremony at Holy Trinity Church on the 18th of June – who shares a bit about himself, his vision, and the future for the area.

We check in with Helen Barden to hear the latest updates and campaigns from St Austell Library, and to explore how they continue making a difference in and around the community.

As well as that, we take a trip to the launch of Ride for Precious Lives 2025, as cyclists set off from Children's Hospice South West's Little Harbour, pedalling their way to Little Bridge House in Barnstaple, before finishing at Charlton Farm near Bristol – all while raising money for children and families living with life-limiting conditions.

If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from Grant Harrold, former Royal Butler to King Charles III and etiquette expert, who offers us all a gentle (and very British) nudge back toward good old-fashioned table manners.
