NEWSWAVE - From the Harbour to the Highlands
Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.
In the latest episode, we join Carrie Morris, chair of Mevagissey Rowing Club, who re-joined Tom Howe to look back on their epic Harbour to Harbour fundraising row – and ahead to more events on the horizon.
We check in with Darren from Man Down Cornwall this Men’s Health Month, to hear how the charity is creating safe spaces for men to open up, connect, and find support when they need it most.
As well as that, we take a trip to to Camborne, where Green Fest returned for its third year – a free, family-friendly celebration of sustainability, live music, and community spirit.
If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from Jason Heaton, chairman of the Kernow Football Alliance, who are heading to the Highlands to take on Alba FA later this month.
… and we welcome Cath Wohlers from the England Illegal Money Lending Team, who tackle loan sharks and support victims through education and enforcement, plus former England cricketer turned grill guru Matthew ‘Hoggy’ Hoggard to chat bangers, burgers, and classic sides.
