NEWSWAVE - Waves of Change

CHAOS Radio Season 3 Episode 15

Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we join Lisa Telfer-Brunton, Marketing and Finance Lead at Cornwall Pride, to find out more about the events they have coming up, their community outreach and how people can get involved.

We check in with Community and Fundraising Manager for the RSPCA’s Cornwall Branch, Leanne Bawden, to learn more about their Paws on the Beach event on Watergate Bay - bringing dogs, families, and fun together for a fantastic cause!

As well as that, we take a trip to one of Cornwall's hidden gems - Tregothnan Estate - a private estate with a botanical garden that's famously only open to the public for one weekend per year, with Jonathon Jones OBE, their Managing Director of Trading.

If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from Kathy King, founder of Wild Wonder and Wisdom, who have launched a Crowdfunder campaign to deliver a Community Water Sports Project in Portmellon, near Mevagissey, this season.

…and we welcome Sarah Robinson, Programme Funding Manager at Shelterbox, to explore their response to one of the world's most urgent and under-reported humanitarian crises.
