NEWSWAVE - Spring Forward
In the latest episode, we join local man Elliott Simcox on the journey of a lifetime, in aid of Refuge & Movember UK. Elliott’s cycling around the world - from Newquay to Australia - and speaks to Tom during a stop off in Malaysia.
We check in with Tim Bunting, Chief Executive at Cornwall Air Ambulance, who joins Breakfast Show presenter Cheryl Gordon to discuss the final phase of their Heli2 Appeal, aimed at funding the medical fit of their second life saving helicopter.
As well as that, we take a trip to Mevagissey Museum to celebrate the grand opening of its brand new entrance and the start of a new season with two of our community journalists, Janice Rose and Harley Rowlands.
If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from a group of residents based in a close-knit village just outside of St Austell that have come together in a bid to save their local pub from closure. Joe Allen and Tom met with Grampound Community Pub members Simon Fielder, Jo Shaw and Johnny Powell to explore the group’s plans.
