NEWSWAVE - A Wrap On November

CHAOS Radio Season 2 Episode 13

oin our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we join the annual Manor Close light switch-on in St Austell, which defied stormy weather to bring some festive joy and raise some vital funds for Cornwall Air Ambulance in the process.

We check in with Simon Townsend, General Manager at The Eden Project, for a behind-the-scenes look at their own record-breaking Christmas light extravaganza.

As well as that, we take a trip to St Austell Leisure Centre, who celebrated their 50th anniversary with an open weekend offering free passes, different activities and a range of fitness sessions to inspire healthier habits for the new year.

If all that wasn’t enough, we hear from Lisa Marley of Truro Bluebirds Football Club, who recently hosted Cornwall's first over-35s women’s football tournament, raising £400 for local causes.

Finally, we visit the award-winning Knightor Winery to learn more about their innovative approach to winemaking, as well as raising a glass to toast Par Carnival’s presentation evening.
