NEWSWAVE - Mental Health Awareness Day
On today’s show, we’re reflecting on the ‘By Cornwall For Cornwall’ - a week on from the event hosted by VSF Cornwall and the People in Mind Project – which saw voluntary, community, social enterprise and health organisations came together for World Mental Health Day.
It was a day which celebrated their joint commitment to working collaboratively across Cornwall - and a chance for those attending to network and develop ideas – which was captured by Senior Journalist Tom Howe and Zara Shoesmith, a Health and Wellbeing Worker with the People in Mind Project.
We’ll be checking in with some of the key people that took part including Jonathan Newnes, Director of Mental Health and Children's Services at Cornwall NHS Partnership Foundation Trust and the High Sheriff of Cornwall, Sam Galsworthy.
As well as that, we’ll hear from organisations like Healthwatch Cornwall, Young People Cornwall, Volunteer Cornwall and Kooth & Qwell.
And if all that wasn’t enough, we will be hearing from Vicky Coxhead who is part of the Adult Autism Assessment Team at the Cornwall NHS Partnership Foundation Trust.
