NEWSWAVE - Episode 31

CHAOS Radio Season 1 Episode 32

Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

In the latest episode, we join local students and teachers to talk about the importance of reading and the enjoyment that can come from it, taking inspiration from last week’s St Austell Festival of Children’s Literature.

We check in with Sam Houston, a community fundraiser for Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust, ahead of Tunes in Treverbyn later this month.

As well as that, we take a trip to Charlestown to report on the reopening of The Pier House and the neighbouring Harbour Beer House following the effects of a fire in January of 2023.

If all that wasn’t enough, we sit down with Sian Powell, exhibition and engagement officer at Wheal Martyn, to discuss their new tour, in support of Speak Cornish Week, as well as bringing you the latest from this week’s Eden Sessions, headlined by The National and Rick Astley.
