NEWSWAVE - Episode 28 (Royal Cornwall Show Special)

Season 1 Episode 29

Join our reporter Tom Howe for NEWSWAVE, your weekly rundown of the top stories happening across St Austell and surrounding areas.

We’ve got something a little bit different for you in this week’s episode, as we share with you a flavour of last weekend’s Royal Cornwall Show, which saw more than one hundred and seventeen thousand people visit the site near Wadebridge across the three days.

The weather was kind, bar for a small shower on Saturday’s final day, with show highlights including the various livestock and equine competitions, as well as JCB’s Dancing Diggers and the Shetland Pony Grand National.

Alongside the competitions and entertainment, were around a thousand trade stands showcasing their various services and products to the many attendees.

CHAOS Radio were there across the three days and caught some of what was on show - from local businesses to lifesaving charities, and RAF parachutists to a giant T-Rex - yes, you read right, a giant T-Rex.

A big CHAOS Radio thank you to the Shetland Pony Grand National, RAF Falcons, Stars of Time, Cornwall Scouts, M.A. Grigg, Hawkins Motors, Cornwall Air Ambulance and Cornwall Blood Bikes.

Thanks also to Chris Riddle, Lord Lieutenant of Cornwall Edward Bolitho, Sir Ferrers Vyvyan, Pentreath, The Addington Fund and Wildanet as well as Charlene and her dogs Jackson, Anna, Freddy and Olympia.
